At Amalienborg Palace in the center of Stockholm, part of the structure is still used as a residence by members of the Danish Royal Family and their guests. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
Rosenborg Palace in Copenhagen is the depository for all of the precious items used by the Royal Family such as elaborate glassware, jewels and the crows worn for coronations. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
Frederiksborg Castle, located on Zealand Coast north of Copenhagen, is the largest and most beautiful and ornate in the country. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
The walls of the huge structure are filled with valuable art, much of which depicts the former rules and noblemen of the country. The ceilings throughout the castle are works of art in themselves. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
Kronborg Castle (at right) is better known as Hamlet's Castle. At Elsinore it has been the scene of many film interpretations of Shakespeare's famous tragedy. It is just a short distance to the Swedish coast from here. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
