The Senate Square in Helsinki is a stop for most tourists. It is located in one of the oldest parts of the city. A large plaza is surrounded by historic and government buildings and is dominated by the large Uspensky Cathedral.

One of the interesting sites in Helsinki is the Temppeliaukio Church, the "Rock Church". The beautiful sanctuary has been constructed inside a rock formation within the city. It is a unique place to worship.

Market Square is a gathering place for the residents of Helsinki. Around the square are a variety of stands featuring the fresh seafood of the day and fresh fruits and vegetables. The square adjoins a park which is a favorite place for people to congregate.
