The Senate Square in Helsinki is a stop for most tourists. It is located in one of the oldest parts of the city. A large plaza is surrounded by historic and government buildings and is dominated by the large Uspensky Cathedral. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
One of the interesting sites in Helsinki is the Temppeliaukio Church, the "Rock Church". The beautiful sanctuary has been constructed inside a rock formation within the city. It is a unique place to worship. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
Market Square is a gathering place for the residents of Helsinki. Around the square are a variety of stands featuring the fresh seafood of the day and fresh fruits and vegetables. The square adjoins a park which is a favorite place for people to congregate. |

A fast hyro-foil ferry takes people quickly between main Helsinki and small islands nearby. Sightseeing boats are popular along the Market Square area. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
