Shanghai: The Buddhist Temple The strong smell of incense fills the air at the large Buddhist Temple in Shanghai as residents take part in a special religious holiday. They believe that the smoke from the incense carries their prayers directly to Heaven. |

The Buddhist Temple is an actual monastery where Asians of all ages dedicate their lives to their religion. Several times each day, amidst the confusion of many visitors, they gather in the great hall to chant their prayers. | ||||||||||||||||
