Shanghai: The Bundt
Oriental Pearl TV tower Shanghai Bundt
One of the busiest areas in Shanghai is the Bundt and the neighboring promenade along the Pacific Ocean (above, right). The Bundt is a showcase of fascinating architecture built in the 1800s. This is the financial center of China. Dominating this location from the other side of the bay is the Oriental Pearly TV tower (above, left), the tallest TV tower in Asia and the third tallest in the world. The bay is continually busy with ships of all sizes bringing in items from around the world and shipping out China exports.
