Saint Joseph's Catholic Church - 1101 North Campbell St.
|
|||||||
The cornerstone for the church was laid on June 5, 1905. Three years later a school was built adjancent to the church and a little later a new rectory. The church may be one of the first buildings in the city built of concrete blocks. The original structure seated 500 and was built at a cost of $22,000. The thirteen large stained glass windows came from the Emil Frei Art Glass Company of St. Louis and were the gift of many devoted parishioners. Approved: 9/13/76 |
