Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church

Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church was founded in 1905 and known as the Seed Ticket Valley Baptist Church. It was located at the corner of Vernon Ave. (now known as Summit) and Turner St. until 1907. A new structure was built and the name changed in 1909, when a school for black children was started, on the corner of Summit Ave. and High St.. This church continues to serve the black populace of the northside community.
