McDaniel School - 237 South Florence Ave.

The school was built in l908 for a cost of $2l,500. It was named for Joseph McDaniel, pioneer businessman, member of the McElhaney, Haggard & McDaniel Mercantile Co. and President of the National Greene County Bank. It was closed in the 1960s and used for adult education and an early education center. The build has been sold by the school district and now houses Bryan College. Approved: 2/17/87 |
