Lincoln High School - 815 North Sherman St.
Lincoln High School

Lincoln High School was the first Rosenwald Foundation school constructed in Missouri. The Rosenwald Fund was started by Sears executive Julius Rosenwald to help black Americans in former Confederate and border states receive a decent education. The Foundation partially paid for the building and all of the landscaping, furniture and books in the library. A. R. Houston was the first principal, M. E. Gillioz was the general contractor, J. B. McCarty did the heating and plumbing and William B. Ittner was the supervising architect.

In 1955, after integration, it became Eastwood Junior High School and in 1968 Graff Area Vocational Technical Center. It now is part of the Ozarks Technical Community College campus.
