Anderson/Warren House - 1223 North Robberson Ave.
Anderson/Warren House

This one story frame house is an excellent example of the spindlework form of Queen Anne Architecture. The front porch has a spindlework frieze over spindlework porch supports with lace like brackets. Above the front bay window are wooden shingles with a gable ornament. Above each window are wooden brackets and overhangs.

The home was build by Robert A. Anderson for his bride Zella Crosby. Mr. Anderson and Mr. T. W. Smith owned Queen City Planing Mill. Later, Mr. Anderson with R. E. Everett formed Springfield Mill & Lumber Company. An addition was added to the rear in 1960 using materials from an old home on Washington Avenue. The home was purchased in 1983 by Sharon Warren who has continued to restore the house.
