Antler Bar - 319 West Walnut St.
|
||||
The three-story brick structure has a flat parapet with stone coping beneath which is a bare brick area which may have been covered with a metal cornice. Below the cornice there is an entablature with brick corbelling and decorative stone and brick patterning. The building is framed by corner pilasters with stone capitals. The building was first occupied by G. S. Robinson, grocer, whose telephone number was 67. It was owned by Henry Schneider in l921 and leased to William Graves for a bicycle shop. Mr. Graves purchased the building in 1945 and a year later sold it to Nelda Gaston for the "Antler Bar". Bud Jones purchased the building in 1976. Approved: 6/8/87 |
