It was great working with other members of the news media during my KYTV years. Although there was much competitiveness there also was much camaraderie and friendship. Shown here are a few of the media folks I found pictures of.

Reporter Ann Fair Dodson and photographer Betty Love were a formidable team for Springfield Newspapers during the 1960's. They are shown here on a trip to Zenith Radio Corporation headquarters in Chicago. The trip for media representatives and community leaders was designed to promote interest in a revenue bond issue that would allow Zenith to build a large television plant here. The plant was built but was closed in the 1990's.

Other media personnel on that Zenith junket (below) were Loyd Evans of KYTV (third from left), Kevin McAndrews and Milton Peters of KOLR, Dodson, and Jim Stanley of KICK.

Media at Zenith

There are more media people here than I can name. The group was gathered for an on-site tour of the Highway 65 expansion which now funnels thousands of visitors into Branson. Some names that come to mind are C. W. Johnson of Springfield Newspapers, Gary Kennon of KWTO, Edwin Waters of the Marshfield Mail, myself and many others.

Bob Chancellor and Mike North

The fellow on the left, Bob Chancellor, is right back where he was during the 1960s. Then he was a reporter for KTTS. Now he's a member of City Council. He and Mike North of Springfield Newspapers are shown covering a Council meeting.
