| The Church of San Francisco (at right), located on the cities major street Avenida Bernardo O'Higgins, was originally built in the 16th century. It is one of the oldest buildings in the city. The predominant religion in South America is Catholic, although a guide pointed out it is not "Roman Catholic." | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| Horse racing is a popular pastime for people in Chile. This is a luxurious private race track in Santiago .
