Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Christ the Redeemer
Corcovado tram
A tram takes tourists to the top of 2330 foot Corcovado mountain to the site of the famous Christ the Redeemer statue that looks out over the city. Unfortunately, on this day, low clouds almost obscured the 99 foot high statue. It did provide for an unusual photo of Jesus peering out of the heavens.
Sugarloaf
On Sugarloaf
The weather was better, however, for the visit to Sugarloaf another of the landmarks of Rio. After taking two cable cars to the top of the 1293 foot granite rock, visitors had a good view of all areas of the city.
