Cox House - 220 East Chestnut St.
|
|||||
This house was built in 1872 by C.K. Dyer for rental purposes. It was purchased by the Gubernator family in 1920 and they lived there until 1940 when it was sold to Caroline and Alice Page. Just before the war it became a commercial enterprise called the Dutch Door Tea Room. The tea room was closed during the war because of rationing. In 1951 it became the Eleanor Cox Photo Studio. Approved: 12/1977 |
