Robert F. Williams House - 1000 West Walnut St.

The building, which was built in 1902 by Mrs. Jennie Reich, was purchased in 1917 by Dr. & Mrs. Robert Williams and was their residence until 1959. Dr. Williams was a prominent physician in Springfield and Greene County, having begun his practice in Brookline. He was President of the Greene County Medical Society and was responsible for the starting of the first milk pasteurization plant in Springfield. The house is now owned by Robert and Alice Lewis.
