Frank Massey, vice-president of the Keet-Rountree Shoe Company, was the first owner of the building. At the time it was built it was one of the largest and most detailed houses in the area. A group of local business men purchased the house in 1903 for use as a women's club. It was purchased by the Sorosis Club in 1940 and used by them until it was purchased by Missouri State University in 1984 for use as an art gallery. Approved: 7/7/86 |
