Holland Building - 103-105 Park Central Square
|
||||
Construction of the building by the Jarrett Construction Company was begun after a fire in 1913 had destroyed this corner of the square. Louise Holland Jarrett was the owner from the time of construction until 1950 when the title was transferred to the Holland Building Inc., which has owned it continuously since then. The fifth story is treated to appear like stone work. The first story was remodeled around 1930 when a veneer of green colored marble was applied to the storefronts. Around 1956 an iron marquee on the St. Louis St. entrance was removed. Approved: 2/3/86 |
