Speesa and Chiavenna, Italy
|
||||||||||
The road from Zermatt, Switzerland, to Innsbruck, Austria, takes travelers through a small section of Italy. Speesa, Italy, is a small resort community on the shores of Lake Magiorre. It is a favorite of Italians for holidays. The good weather and the atmosphere also makes it a good place for school children (above, right) to gather for some informal learning. Near Speesa is Chiavenna, Italy, a picturesque village with a strong mountain stream running through its middle (right). The road from here into Austria is a steep and snaky one. |
