Cruising the Rhine River
Rhine River village Rhine River vineyard

The Rhine River is the major artery of Germany providing transportation and recreation. A cruise on the section of the river between St. Goar and Boppard provides a look at German culture, economics and history. There are many small typical villages, centered around the church. Overlooking the river are the remains of castles of once-strong German families. Vineyards climb up and down all available hillsides.

On to Baden-Baden and Heidelberg. >>>
