Baden-Baden (top and right) is the chief and most famous spa in this area of the Black Forest. It was the summer capital of Europe in the last century. It's architecture is typical of old Europe. A drawing point in the city today is a large, exclusive casino which is associated with a cultural arts complex. | |||||||||||||
Heidelberg is Germany's oldest university town. It is dominated by the ruins of its famous 14th century castle which provides an excellent birds-eye view of the old city. Located in the central city, the shopping and recreational center of Heidelberg, is this unique and beautiful church. Surrounding it are many shops and restaurants. |
