Fricke/Rebori House - 615 South Ave.

||||||||||||||
The land for this house, 619 South Avenue, was owned by John Campbell and then by Permilla Stephens. The house was built between 1886 and 1904 by M. M. Fricke, a Civil War veteran who later became a successful grain dealer. In 1907, Andrew and Clorinda Rebori purchased the property for $6,000, and it has remained in the hands of their family ever since. Andrew was the son of an immigrant from Genoa, Italy, and, like his father, went into the fruit business, wholesale and retail. His retail outlet was on South Avenue close to the Public Square.
