Heer/Lohmeyer House - 500 East Walnut St.

The residence was built in 1884 by Hannah and David Griffith, one of the partners of the Little Acorn Mill, which stood on the corner of Mount Vernon and Campbell. The home was purchased by Francis Xavier Heer, President of Heers Department Store, in l905, who resided there until 1921. It was purchased by the present Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home in 1940 Approved: 2/29/88. |
