Beijing: Street Scenes
Chinese men are seen often during the day playing board or card games in the public areas. | There's no escaping the Golden Arches. And there's little language barrier in odering a Big Mac.
The Chinese buy most of their foods daily in small market areas like these scattered throughout the city.
This may well be the Chinese version of Git 'N Go, a neighborhood walkup store. | Visitors to China never have to worry about going hungry. Many of the meals are served with a full turntable of delicacies only a spin away.
Many small business men in Beijing are "on the move." Their goods are contained in small stands mounted on the back of three-wheeled bicycles so they can go where the business is. | Chairman Mao is apparently still in favor in China. At least you can spot him in amongst all the brass Buddhas on souvenir stands along the street in Beijing.
